Higgyschlagen

• 2 teams per Higgyschlagen stump. Each team may have a varying number of nails to hammer flush with the top of the stump. Each guy will get 3 nails, gals will get 2 nails. (Ex. All guys on a team = 9 nails, All gals on a team = 6 nails)

• The game will be played in rounds, this is not a race, it’s a skill game, so take your time.

• Each player will get a swing with the hammer. A round is over when all 6 players have swung the hammer.

• The player must tap the stump with the hammer before striking the nail.

• Once the player has swung the hammer, they pass it to the next opposing player. Once all 6 players have swung the hammer, the round is over and if no team has all 3 nails flush, you start another round.

• It doesn’t matter which nail the player strikes during their turn.

• If a nail bends, a player may use their turn to straighten that nail with the hammer.

• You do not need to tap the stump when straightening a nail

• If the nail is beyond straightening, a player can use their turn and ask a judge to remove it and set a new nail.

• A winner is declared when a team has all their nails pounded flush into the stump.

• Winners receive 5 pts, losers receive 3 pts. In the event of a tie, both teams will receive 4 pts.
